I recently had the chance to photograph a great Bar Mitzvah, starting with a portrait session at Temple Sinai in Tenafly and ending with a high-energy party at Powerhouse Studios in Paramus.

Portrait Session at Temple Sinai in Tenafly

This Bar Mitzvah gallery began with a portrait session at Temple Sinai the day before the service. The sanctuary’s colorful stained glass provided a unique backdrop for the Torah reading and family portraits at the Bimah. The session resulted in a mix of traditional posed shots and relaxed candids of the family together.

Bar Mitzvah Celebration at Powerhouse Studios in Paramus

The energy shifted for the reception at Powerhouse Studios in Paramus. After a quick photoshoot with the family, the evening kicked off with a cocktail hour and arcade games, leading into a high-octane night on the dance floor. The nightclub-style lighting and non-stop dancing made for a great atmosphere to capture candid, dynamic moments throughout the celebration.
